Evergreen Decking Planter

We're really pleased with how our recycled decking planters have turned out! At the moment we do three sizes - 'standard' (as seen above) at 63cm, 'long' at 103cm and our 'double decker' at 73cm long and twice the height at 30cm. We salvaged the decking wood on a rainy, cold January day from a static holiday home that had to be removed and the surrounding patio platform dismantled. We volunteered to take down the timber structure and carefully unscrewed it, keeping all the wood that hadn't decayed. It took one and half days of really hard work but was so worth it. Before crafting the planters, we gave each plank a jet wash and let it dry (our patio became a different colour from all the cleaning!). Once dried, we cut the planks into our chosen lengths (even the strengthening inserts and feet are made from the decking beams) and we created our planters. They were treated with decking oil before being ready for their new, repurposed life enhancing any garden or outdoor space with a beautiful, rustic appearance. More importantly, they are completely recycled! We love that! Wishing you peace and comfort friends. Tina and Ted
