Frosty Ferns!

Like many parts of the country, our area saw a major drop in the temperature this week. This can be tolerated with joy when sunshine peeps through and the world looks like an image on a stunning Christmas card! We can't resist sharing with you this wonderful photograph we took on our walk of a frosty Broad Buckler Fern (Dryopteris dilatata) looking splendid and unconcerned by this presence of beautiful tiny ice crystals. How strong and resilient ferns are! Hopefully, unlike the great outdoors, you are all keeping warm during this chilly spell of weather. As always, we wish peace and comfort to all you lovely people.
