Fern, My Friend by Tina Langford

If there's a peace for which we yearn,
Look no further than a fern.
A quiet strength, a steadfast stance,
Nothing ever left to chance.
Gentle movement through the year,
Living beauty, always near.
Take a moment on this day,
Ferns abundant, watch their way.
Learn from them, breathe in their wonder,
Nature gives us a reason to ponder.
So when you feel the need to mend,
Look around for ferns my friend.
Hopefully we can do justice to one of our treasured photographs - a stunning Scaly Male Fern (Dryopteris affinis) at one of our favourite places, Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre. Our poem is inspired from the peace and beauty that ferns bring us every where we go. Wishing you all some of that peace and comfort friends as we embark upon another new week. Tina and Ted
