Instagram Ferns!

We hit a milestone last week by completing our personal challenge of publishing a photo of the ferns around us every day for one whole year! It was a task we weren't sure we could accomplish but we did so with focus and took enjoyment from the beauty of the ferns we see through every season. We have to give a shout out to Sharon and Les who have started to appreciate ferns through our eyes and now their own, it's wonderful to share in that excitement. The photo here was taken on a local walk in September 2025 and is giving us an absolutely splendid Male Fern (Dryopteris filix-mas) growing with an equally impressive Hart's-Tongue Fern (Asplenium-scolopendrium).
